Explore new flavours and and hard-to-find spices from around the world with spices from The Epicentre out of Bridgenorth, ON. There's no skimping on high-end ingredients here and only the freshest of herbs and spices are hand-blended in small batches. There are no fillers or preservatives and all blends have low salt or no salt.

Spice Blends Available:

Za'atar - This spice blend is predominately ground sumac, roasted sesame seeds, and green herbs. Za’atar is used to flavour meats and vegetables, or mixed with olive oil and used as a marinade for olives or as a spread for pita or flatbread.

Harissa - A chile-based condiment used in Moroccan, Tunisian and Algerian cooking, where it is usually served as a side dish to dip meats into. Add Harissa Spice Blend to olive oil and chopped garlic to create this classic condiment or create a bold, spicy rub for roasted and grilled meats.

Baharat - Baharat is a North African spice mix used in Lebanon, Syria, Israel, and Jordan, Baharat simply means “spice” in Arabic. It is often used to season lamb but is an all-purpose flavour enhancer for fish, chicken, beef, sauces and soups.

Berbere - Berbere is the highly aromatic and extremely hot national spice mixture of Ethiopia.  A blend of Arabic and Indian flavours, this Berbere is an authentic and smoldering blend of smoked chillies laced with soul-warming ginger, ajwain cardamom, fenugreek and long pepper. Use in Ethiopian stews called wats or as a rub.

Chili Powder - Only the choice pods of of seven varieties of chiles are finely ground into a deep, rich powder and combined with roasted cumin, cinnamon and other herbs and spices. While it clearly has a spicy kick, the emphasis is on balance and flavour! Use for the finest sauces or add zest to your favourite chili dish.

Chinese Five Spice -  This powerful blend of spices includes cinnamon, cloves, fennel, szechuan peppers and ginger. Flavour a stir-fry, try it with fruit or ice cream.

Everything Nice - Everything Nice blends cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, cardamom, mace and a hint of lemon. Use it to flavour pies, quick breads, spiced cakes or muffins. Lovely sprinkled on French toast and in the fall and winter it is a welcome addition to baked squash or cream soups.

French Mustard & Herbs Rub - Adds a luxurious touch and rich flavour to roasts, beef or pork dishes and potatoes. Take traditional pot roast or meatloaf to the next level. Great as a vinaigrette or dip when mixed with mayo & sour cream. A hand-blended medley of spices, orange peel, onion, fennel, parsley, thyme and cane syrup. 

Garam Masala - A blend of several strongly aromatic spices designed to add flavour and fragrance to many Indian dishes. It is also often used as a garnish. 

Lemon Pepper - Bold ground black pepper and bright, zesty lemon are a perfect combination to balance the delicate, sweet, mineral flavors of seafood. Certified organic vegetables and spices.Use in rubs, marinades, sauces. No salt. Contains mustard.

Madras Curry - A hot and tangy South Indian curry powder. Excellent for eggs or fish and meat curries  & to add interest & golden colour to soups, sauces, dips and stews. Madras Curry is a complex blend of warm, aromatic spices including turmeric, cumin, coriander, and fenugreek.

Rosemary-Mint Lamb Love - Whether it be chops, a roast, a stew, meatballs or sliders, Lamb Love is a sure-fire winner for seasoning lamb. A blend of rosemary, black pepper, sea salt and garlic and spice. Use it as a rub or add to a stew’s gravy.
